I recently took my family to Sea World Orlando. The last time my mom and I had been to Sea World was over 20 years ago, but it was my 3 year old’s very first time there. We live in Tampa, about an hour away, and took advantage of Platinum Annual Passes granting us access to Sea World Orlando, Aquatica, Busch Gardens Tampa, and Adventure Island. My son just turned 3, and all of the parks I just mentioned offer a Preschool Card that gets him in for free until he is 5 years old! Definitely take advantage if you are a Florida resident!
We arrived at about 1pm, and found out that preferred parking is included with my annual pass! We parked right up front, in the row directly across from the entrance, can’t get any better than that! The lines were not long, and the staff was incredibly helpful considering I had a ton of questions! We took advantage of refillable drink mugs to get $0.99 refills throughout the day, picked up a map, and were on our way to a day of fun!
Part of the park was under construction because Sesame Street is on the way, but we still found there was plenty to do! Our favorites were the dolphin show and the killer whale show, my 3 year old was absolutely thrilled! We also saw penguins, sting rays, sea turtles, all kinds of fish, and we got to feed some sea lions! We had a late lunch at the Waterway Grill, there was no wait, and the food was great.
We aren’t thrill ride kind of people (I am also quite limited with a toddler), but if you are, there is plenty for you to do at Sea World too! There are multiple roller coasters including Mako, Kraken, and Manta. There is also Infinity Falls which is a rapid ride, and Journey to Atlantis which is a log flume type ride. As I mentioned earlier, Sesame Street is coming this spring, and my son was a big fan of the Sea Carousel! The Turtle Trek 3D show is also something you don’t want to miss!
Overall there is something for everyone at Sea World! I highly recommend planning a visit during your next trip to Orlando! You can purchase a single day ticket to Sea World, or one of their other ticket options that include Aquatica (Sea World’s water park) and Discovery Cove!
